Scott Phillips brings 27 years
of entrepreneurial skills to serve the NewEnglandNorth
Group not only in Maine, but along Seacoast New Hampshire as
well.
As a business
intermediary... Scott spent 13 years as an
associate/partner of a regional business brokerage firm where
he advised clients on valuation and marketing strategies
ultimately leading to the successful transfer of ownership of
a variety of privately held businesses. In addition, he
assisted in the preparation of business plans, performed fee
valuations for varied purposes and served as an expert witness
in court testimony.
As an
entrepreneur... Scott spent 14 years in
Baltimore, Maryland where he was a principal of an urban
specialty retailing and development firm. He was involved with
re-merchandising a mixed-use multi-cinema, restaurant, and
municipal parking complex. He was an investor/developer of
historic properties and served as a mayoral appointee on The
Commission for Historic and Architectural Preservation. He
also acted as a liaison between the Baltimore City Planning
Department and the Baltimore Economic Development Corporation
in promoting commercial revitalization of the inner city.
On the personal
side...
Scott graduated with a Liberal Arts degree (History
with Distinction) from Dartmouth College in 1974. He
is currently Chair of Rockingham Community Action, a
non-profit social services agency. He enjoys golf, tennis,
fly fishing and is in his sixth year of studying jazz
saxophone. Scott and his wife, Nancy, have two children,
and live in York, Maine.
